I was at a crowded bar with a friend of mine who has since quit drinking...he looked at his first beer of the night and remarked that it was Pandora's Box...I thought it was a micro-brew and asked him who made it. He explained his meaning: like the late George Carlin said, one thing doesn't always lead to another. Sometimes one thing leads to the same thing. Ask an addict.

Anyway, I went home that night and wrote this song the next morning.

But lies are something I tell myself in my sleep
Laughing ain't being happy, like sadness ain't being depressed
If there's anyone who understands this, I haven't met her yet
