People get so angry and aggressive these days. I suppose they've always been, but social media makes some folks feel like they've got a 24/7 audience for every piece of dehumanizing negative they want to hurl at anyone who believes differently or even just less emphatically than they do.

I wanted something really mad for the solo, which made me thankful I decided to do it myself. Matt was very patient in mixing it, especially since it wasn't the sort of thing that can be explained and I suddenly gave him 10 new tracks that only appear in 20 seconds of an otherwise sparse song! I'm not sure if he really got what I was trying to do, at least at first, but Matt never tries to tell me how something's supposed to sound, which is why I like working with him.
