1.
I fell in love with a horrible woman Fell in love with a horrible woman Bottle of whiskey, bottle of wine She stays drunk all the time She is not a one-man woman She is not a one-man woman Loving her is such a sin 'Cause you never know where she's been She's so very pretty She won't wear her panties She walks the streets at night She won't treat me right I won't ask dad for his advice I won't ask mom, but she thinks it isn't right Don't know what I'm gonna do 'Cause she likes women, too I fell in love with a horrible woman Fell in love with a horrible woman
2.
She asks so little of you But you never took the time To show her that you love her And now she is mine You practiced a selfish kind of love That never let her be You never bothered to listen You didn't hear her plea And when you're all alone Think of love you'll miss I give a smile each morning End each day with a kiss
3.
I love country music And I love the country beat But when I'm dancing with my Jennie She keeps stepping on my feet I took her to the tavern Just to have a dance or two But when the night was over My feet were black and blue I love country music And I love to sing & shout (dance and shout!) But after dancing with my Jennie I have to sit the next one out I have an answer to my problem Yes, I know just what I'll do When I'm dancing with my Jennie I'll wear my steel-toed shoes
4.
I see plastic people They can't hide Inside their plastic towers It's they who decide Eating & drinking & rarely thinking About the judgments they make Shattered, battered abuse of power The lives that they break I see faceless people Crying out At the hands of their persecutors Their lives are devoured Meetings & beatings, yet believing The future looks bright ahead Handed & branded by their masters Until their dying breath I see plastic people... A man of fortune watches in sorrow As his world fades away For him, no tomorrow There's only sorrow No tomorrow There's only sorrow I see plastic people They can't hide
5.
Smiling Eyes 03:24
She looks at me with her smiling eyes But looks to see they're telling lies How can she sleep at night? I don't know why she just won't say it It hurts my pride, this game she's playing I should just walk away I'll just go on pretending that nothing's wrong Looks like a love unending didn't last too long Another one would put her in her place But I'll go on with my happy face It feels like such a waste And it hurts so bad

about

Collaboration I did with Honest John Kowalko while the Covid was on. John wrote all the tunes. I mixed it myself, which was a new and valuable experience. I also handled all of the lead guitar duties, which forced me to stretch out from what I'm used to. On the whole, a thoroughly enjoyable and beneficial exercise. Oh, and I hope you like listening to it, too!
